Re-establishment of international and cross-border traffic

From 22 June 2020, international rail transport has been re-established

From 22 June 2020, international railway traffic has been re-established between Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Hungary, as well as cross-border traffic between Croatia and Slovenia and Croatia and Hungary.

In trains in Croatia passengers must use protective masks. Passengers who do not have a mask will be excluded from public transport.

Germany - Austria - Slovenia - Croatia

International traffic on the route Germany - Austria - Slovenia - Croatia and vice versa has been established on June 22, 2020. Please note that in trains and stations in Germany and Austria, passengers must use protective masks. The following trains will run on the specified route:

  • 158 Zagreb GK 6.58 - Vienna 14.02
  • 159/1259 Vienna 15.58 – Zagreb GK 22.36 
  • 210 Vinkovci 8.55 – Zagreb GK 12.35 – Villach 17.09
  • 211 Villach 12.53 – Zagreb GK 17.42 – Vinkovci 21.10
  • 212/112 Zagreb GK 6.58 – München 15.41
  • 113/213 München 12.17 – Zagreb GK 20.54   
  • 480 Rijeka 20.45 – Ljubljana 23.55 - München 6.10
  • 481 München 23.20 – Ljubljana 6.35 – Rijeka 9.30
  • 482 Rijeka 11.50 – Ljubljana 14.52
  • 483 Ljubljana 15.17 – Rijeka 18.14
  • 1272 Maribor 3.20 – Ljubljana 6.12 – Pula 10.43
  • 1273 Pula 17.57 – Ljubljana 22.50 – Maribor 1.21

Cross-border traffic between Croatia and Slovenia has been established on June 22, 2020. You can download the timetable of cross-border trains here.


Switzerland - Germany – Croatia

Night trains connecting Switzerland, Germany and Croatia will start running from June 27/28, 2020 (trains will include wagons and sleeping wagons):

  • 414 Zagreb GK 18.38 – Zürich 9.20
  • 415 Zürich 20.40 – Zagreb GK 10.49
  • 498 Zagreb GK 21.20 – München 6.10
  • 499 München 23.20 – Zagreb GK 8.36

Please note that in trains and stations in Germany and Austria, passengers must use protective masks.


Croatia – Hungary


International traffic on the route Croatia - Hungary and vice versa will be established on July 1, 2020. The following trains will run on the specified route:

  • 200 Budapest 6.35 – Zagreb GK 13.00 (starts running on July 2, 2020.)
  • 205 Zagreb GK 9.48 – Budapest 16.24
  • 201 Zagreb GK 16.35 – Budapest 22.24
  • 204 Budapest 15.35 – Zagreb GK 21.05 (starts running on July 2, 2020.)

Cross-border traffic on the route Croatia - Hungary and vice versa will be established on July 1, and you can see the timetable of cross-border trains here.
