As part of European Mobility Week, HŽ Passenger Transport is once again carrying out activities aimed at promoting travel by train and bicycle.

From 16 to 22 September 2026, HŽ Passenger Transport is offering free bicycle transport on trains operating domestic services.

Here you can find the list of trains on which bicycles can be transported.

On railway lines where replacement bus services have been introduced due to construction works, bicycles cannot be transported.

Please check the information on works and disruptions on railway lines before travelling.

European Mobility Week takes place every year from 16 to 22 September, organised by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, with the aim of promoting sustainable forms of transport and encouraging citizens to choose walking, cycling and public transport for their everyday journeys. Such choices contribute to reducing CO₂ emissions, improving air quality, protecting the environment, and creating healthier and more pleasant urban environments.

This year’s theme, Intergenerational Fairness, highlights the importance of transport solutions that meet the needs of people of all generations. In line with the European Commission’s efforts to reduce transport poverty, this year’s campaign highlights the role of sustainable mobility in ensuring accessible, safe and inclusive transport for all citizens.

Active mobility and public transport contribute to healthier lifestyles, greater access to services and stronger social connections.

The development of safe, accessible and sustainable transport systems contributes to creating better living conditions for people of all generations.

As HŽ Passenger Transport is implementing projects providing free transport for children, school pupils, full-time university students, pensioners and people over the age of 65, as well as persons with disabilities, through the end of the year, it is reaffirming its commitment to the objectives of European Mobility Week 2026 and contributing to its key principles – promoting sustainable, accessible and socially inclusive mobility for all citizens.
