With its 1.4 million inhabitants, Munich is the third largest city in Germany and one of the most important economic, transportation and cultural centres.

You must have heard of the famous Oktoberfest, providing a wide variety of beers and traditional Bavarian sausages. Senior sports connoisseurs surely remember the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. The Olympic Park was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics. The younger generation interested in sports can enjoy a tour of the Allianz Arena. You can also go shopping in one of the luxury shops on Maximilianstraße.

FRANKFURT
With about 700,000 inhabitants, Frankfurt is the fifth largest city in Germany. It is situated on the Main River in the German state of Hesse. Frankfurt is a very important hub for commerce and transportation with many cultural and historical sights.
In the old town, you can visit Römerberg, the most famous German square, St. Bartholomew´s Cathedral, known as the Kaiserdom, St. Paul´s Church and the House of Literature (Literaturhaus), a former library building. The main church in Frankfurt is St. Bartholomew´s Cathedral – its height is 95 meters. It is one of the highest churches, which is home to a museum you should definitely visit (Cathedral Museum).
When in Frankfurt, you should definitely visit the oldest conserved building, located in the very centre – Saalhof. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, a famous German writer and philosopher was born – so you should definitely visit his birthplace in the old part of the city. Next to his birthplace, the Goethe Museum is situated. This city is known for its high-rise buildings.
Besides its cultural sights and apart from being the major financial centre of the European continent, Frankfurt is also known for its culinary specialties, shopping and nightlife.
