European Mobility Week is a European Commission campaign aimed at changing behaviour in favour of active mobility and public transport, as well as raising awareness about sustainable urban mobility. It takes place every year from 16 to 22 September.
This year’s campaign theme is "Mobility for All", highlighting the importance of access to sustainable modes of transport – walking, cycling, and public transport – which should be available, accessible, and safe for everyone. It encourages everyone to try alternatives to car travel.
This European Commission initiative promotes changes that lead to healthier, cleaner, and more pleasant cities to live in, with the goal of reducing air pollution and improving quality of life.
More information is available on the official campaign website.
HŽ Passenger Transport is actively participating in European Mobility Week and is offering free bicycle transport from 16 to 22 September 2025. Check which trains allow bicycle transport, and make sure to check traffic updates and information about track maintenance before travelling.
On railway lines where substitute bus transport has been introduced due to construction works, bicycles cannot be transported.
