From the first meetings on InnoTrans 2016 in Berlin it was clear that the representatives of the Swedish private railway operators Inlandsbanan were extremely impressed with diesel-engine train for regional transport Series 7022, which was manufactured by Gredelj for HŽ Passenger transport. Therefore, in February 2017, representatives of the Inlandsbanan visited Gredelj facilities in Zagreb to ensure that technical and design characteristics of the train suit their needs. Since the first impressions were excellent, immediately after the test ride the initiative for cooperation was launched.
On March 24 the regional train went to Sweden to demonstrate its capabilities and to drive special guests, including high government officials and representatives of other private operators. It also gave the opportunity to the inhabitants of towns and cities along the tracks to enter and see vehicles that perhaps in the near future could be driving in their country.
More on this interesting trip, you'll learn in the travelogue after DMV 7022 returns to Croatia. Until then, enjoy the beautiful photographs documented in the far north of Europe.
